We believe there is always a better way to do what we do. At the core of the Fastenex culture is constantly working on process improvements and cutting waste.
Formally, this is ingrained right when our people join Fastenex, through our dojo. Inspired by Japanese lean management principles and established at the behest of our largest customer, all employees who set foot in our shopfloor undergo essential training in 8 domains - Safety, Quality, Production, Process, Maintenance, Product Applications, Behavioural, Culture & Values.
This immersion into our best practices lasts a few weeks, and while it costs us in the short-term, the dojo is a crucial element in our uncompromising stance on being a world-class manufacturing unit. In the long-term, with regular retraining, this creates a culture where the fundamentals of efficient value-creation are always front and centre in our shopfloor.
