Currently, annually, Fastenex consumes close to 20,000 tons of steel, millions of litres of water, and large volumes of oil and diesel, while serving one of the world’s most polluting industries. We are acutely aware that the true cost of doing business is not just financial—it also includes the impact on our communities and our planet.
That’s why our environmental and social strategy goes beyond compliance: we invest in cleaner manufacturing processes, and uplift the communities around us.
We replaced acid pickling with shot-blasting, eliminating hazardous effluents. We’re working at cutting freshwater use by 90% in our plating plant through advanced treatment solutions. A long-term project to extend the life of lubricating oil reduces both cost and pollution. And through Grace Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd., our wind energy arm, we generate renewable power 15 times greater than our plants’ total consumption.
As we grow, so does our responsibility. We focus on education and rural development—funding school infrastructure, supporting industrial training institutes, and backing literacy programs. In rural areas, we partner with driven government officials to rebuild water conservation systems. Like our manufacturing, this work is a journey of patient, continuous improvement.
